  • Comments Thread For: Devin Haney Relinquishes All Lightweight Belts Ahead of Regis Prograis WBC 140-Pound Title Challenge

Devin Haney is officially done with the lightweight division. BoxingScene.com has confirmed that the unbeaten lineal champion has given up all remaining physical titles at the weight to campaign at junior welterweight and higher. Haney informed ESPN.com's Mike Coppinger of the decision to relinquish the WBA, IBF and WBO titles he claimed last June.

Good for him. Commit to the new weight class, let 135 be free from any Josh Taylor-style bull****.

He's going to 147 immediately after the Regis fight?

Excellent. Devin Haney AGAIN does what Crawford refuses to do.

It's good he relinquished them, but why did he wait until now to do it? I suspect his weight cut is going harder than expected and he realized there's no way he's getting back to 135 again.

This is great news for the Santa Cruz fans

If King Leo gets the chance to fight, and win one of the vacant belts he will become the first ever Mexican 5 weight champion.

                Make it happen Uncle AL!!!

Lomachenko could have a fight for a belt against Shakira Stevenson.

He didn’t need to wait for this to happen and then fight Kambosos.
