I am a Mayweather fan, but I can't answer this question until you convince me that he has actually ducked someone. When you offer someone a fight, as he did twice against Mosley, and they turn it down twice, you are not ducking them if you choose later not to fight them on their terms.

If you call someone out at a lower weight, as Mayweather did against Cotto and Hatton at 140, and they or their promoter choose not to fight you, you are not ducking them later if you choose later not to fight them on their terms.

If you choose not to fight someone who is ranked lower in the division (like the number 3 welterweight Antonio Margarito) in favor of fighting someone who is ranked higher (like Ring Magazine champion Carlos Baldomir), you are not ducking the lower ranked fighter. If you were, then every champion would be ducking because every champion is called out by low-ranked opponents looking for a payday.

If he doesn't fight either Mosley, Cotto or Pac or all three before he retires again, then I will acknowledge that he has ducked the best in the division.

However, for right now, please tell me based on legitimate logic (not your personal hatred) who Mayweather has ducked?

Bottom line Mayweather needs to realize:

He is severely underestimating the backlash not only towards his popularity but his ability to stay relevant making the money he wants to make if he does not fight Pac, Cotto, or Mosley. Pretty Boy may think he can sell anything against anyone like Oscar, but the difference is Oscar kept his fans by fighting the best. If Mayweather does not fight one of the big three always mentioned, he is going to be considered a circus act more than a real fighter by most boxing fans.

I can understand being a fan,but when U have to constantly defend the reasons why ur fighter doesn't fight other great fighters, that baffles the hell out of me!!Me,I'm a fan of the Punisher & I keep hearing who has he fought & so forth, but top fighters prefer to keep away from him, every top fighter wants a piece of floyd, but he only fights the ones he is supposed to beat, lucky bastard!!

You are putting too much stock in the stuff you read on this message board and on this website. Mayweather had not decided who his next opponent is going to be, therefore, no one had been ducked. You and the others on here act as if he is ducking everyone because he didn't sign to fight Mosley, pacquaio and Cotto in his next three fights within five minutes after his victory over Marquez. In spite of what Mayweather or anyone else says, nothing is going to be decided until after the Cotto/Pacquaio fight is completed.

After that fight is over and Mayweather signs to fight either Cotto, Pac or Mosley, the whining will start about how he is ducking the other two.

let's be honest... pac/floyd won't happen because floyd wants 60/40. cotto/floyd might happen because coto will accept 60/40, but floyd will probably want 70/30, so no fight.

mosley is the only option and if floyd doesn't fight him, its a duck.

who has floyd ducked? did he not call shane out earlier in his career and shane refused?manny was never even mentioned as an opponent until recently and if roach, manny and arum really want that fight they can give floyd the bigger percentage but they don't want to do that so maybe they are ducking floyd and by the time miguel was ready for a fight with floyd he was already going into retirement so of the 3 miguel probably has the best argument bein that shane at 1 point refused and manny and his team can make the fight happen if they really want it

Shane was relevant then. Because he was the prima donna, he refused to fight Floyd. Can you say Shane is ducking Floyd?

Floyd is now on the top, he refused to fight Shane. That makes him a prima donna now. Can you say Floyd is ducking Shane?

The answer to those questions is most probably yes. So, Floyd is ducking Shane now.

Don't bring up crap that Pac is scared on Pbf. If he is not scared of Cotto/Mosley, why would he be scared of Pbf. Pac is staying in the higher weight simply because of the $$$ involved. If it means more risk, he is ok with that as long as he gets paid his due. Whatever belts/history he picks along the way, it only adds to his legacy.
