He beat a faded Campbell and couple other guys. He is a legitimately talented boxer.

If he blasts Duarte out, he may well have lost to Davis in that fashion because the rehydration limit. If Duarte stops him or it is a close UD, Garcia ain't going to have a long career.

Garcia is a classic example of how easily people are manipulated by good looks and charm. He works the interview circuit and convinces people he has "obvious potential", when there's little tangible evidence for it.

He's quite fast, and he's got real power in the left at least. If he had the work ethic and humility to learn and improve he could be something with his talents. Right now he's his own worst enemy.

The fact that Ryan would insinuate that his failure is attributable to being in a 'toxic environment' instead of accepting his own shortcomings demonstrates his lack of maturity and accountability. The environment he was in was one of his own creation. He runs the Ryan Garcia show, but everybody else (Oscar, Bernard, Goosen, Canelo, Eddy...) is to blame. It'll be satisfying to see him lose again, just to hear his excuses.

Oscar Duarte ain't a soft tune up, might not be a champ or a dark horse at 135-140, but solid fight for someone coming out of a devastating loss. Might be a banana peel like Ismael Barroso how gritty the guys is. (Like Ivan Baranchyk.)
