If Canelo Beats Beanvidez he's clearly the best 168 of all time

I think he already probably is but if he beat Benavidez its not even debatable imo

    Rocky Fielding
    Callum Smith
    Avni Yildrim
    Billy Joe Saunders
    Caleb Plant
    GGG
    John Ryder
    David Benavidez

Undefeated and no one would have a better resume at 168 than this

Andrew Ward? Galzaghe wouldve also troubled him with his smothering work rate

      - - Wart went into training to fight Canelo, and again like his l'l floydy inferiority complex of making peanut$ compared to Canelo, Wart quickly figured out he was shyte on a shingle.

Instead he tutored Plant so well that Plant was magnificently PLANTED by Canelo...THE END!!!

Super Joe probably frustrates him in quick dynamic hands and footwork, but Joe retired.

Sorta like it don't matter if Dempsey and Louis could BTFO Ali, they weren't around for the Ali era.

When Canelo retires, prob at the end of this year, he won't be around and why should he? He got Carlos Slim managing his hundreds of millions of purses growing into a billion.

Carl Froch would beat every single Middle to Super Middle Weight fighter that Alvarez has fought in his career 'And Froch is not the best Super Middle Weight of all-time'.

In fact? I think overall Froch has most likely fought at a higher level in the 168 pound division than Alvarez.

Note: Alvarez is a great fighter, but? He has kind of benefited from a below par era 'Within the Middle to Super Middle Weight Divisions' etc.

If you have to add Fielding, Yildirim, Saunders, Plant and GGG to his best wins at 168, then he doesn't really have that deep of a resume at that weight. Benavidez would definitely help but unless he beats him, his run at SMW hasn't been anything special.

If he beats Benevidez, that would be a good win and probably his best (provided he actually beats him, not like his first 2 against GGG )

Would he be that mythical, best ever at 168? it would help your case but it won't convince many I'm afraid.

Im not saying that he would be every other 168 pound champion head to head but his overall resume would be the best

I dont know. I would favor Froch vs all of Canelos opponents at 168 but he struggled with Taylor, Abraham and Groves. Didnt even really dominate an old Glenn Johnson who was a fill in opponent. I dont think its as much of a guarantee as you do
