It's all ******ity because the whole world knew the winner was going to be locked into a rematch. And rematch clauses are ****** too. We'll see if Ennis has this same energy when Bud is actually free to fight him, because I, for one, remember when he abandoned the WBO path to avoid Bud and go after Spence instead. And I recall him being radio silence after Bud beat Spence down, and didn't say anything until Spence activated the rematch clause. Heck, he didn't even ask for his mandatory to be honored for months before the fight was signed.

Did I mention that rematch clauses are ****** and hold up the division?

People need to pepper Crawford with questions about the rematch before even mentioning Ennis or any other fight. This is boxing. Huge amounts of time is spent before fights are made in this business. I don't know what people are thinking. You can't just go from point A to point D in this business.

And why is Ennis waiting around and not looking for other fights to make himself active?

A better answer: vacate the belts, fight who you want, and let the young guys come up and challenge for the titles among themselves. Especially Matias and Teofimo.

That all depends on the Spence rematch and whichever weight class its going to take place at.
