  • Comments Thread For: Froch: It's a Bit Disappointing For Joshua To Be Fighting Wallin Instead of Wilder

Former super middleweight champion Carl Froch was really hoping that former world champions Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder would collide at the end of the year. Instead, the two top heavyweights will face other opponents as part of the same card.

I for one think this Walin fight is a perfect time to get a good bet in. I'm thinking Wallin beats AJ. It's about 4-1 right now. AJ has always been overrated, in reality he is gunshy, hates being hit. Hates being in hard fights. So I think there's not really much for him to do again Wallin, other than covering up or get KO'd.

Its a pretty boring opponent who he wont get much credit for beating, but at the same time good enough to potentially make AJ yet again look underwhelming or possibly even banana skin him. Same with Parker vs Wilder.

I think Walin will put a wrench in that showdown once he beats AJ.

Both are great fights. I am not disappointed, I am surprised.

Great fights? That’s an overstatement IMO. They are decent fights at best, and certainly not PPV worthy by any stretch. Hopefully Parker and Wallin can make it interesting though.
