He’ll be good as long as he stays on his feet. UFC fighters have no defense against a boxers accuracy punching. Wilder sends people to the moon. A smart UFC fighter will take him down to the mat or get out to sleep.

Someone like Gane could probably beat him on the feet tbh.

I don't think Wilder is too serious about doing UFC.
This might be a way for him to voice his frustrations with Boxing and its politics.

If so. I agree with him.
I've had so many conversations in the gyms about this issue.

In boxing if you have a loss or two.
Depending on who you lost to and how you lost
        You're pretty much written off.
Fans on here call you a bum and use triangle theory as to why you'd also lose to fighter X.

Meanwhile we have guys like Foster and the kid who KO'd Yafai last night with losses on their record who prove that a loss or two isn't the end of your career.

Although the fighter pay is a big issue.
UFC will put on a guy with 7 losses against a guy with 11 losses and you get a really good fight.

I wish boxing took after UFC a bit in that sense.
Because at the end of the day it's still entertainment.

If a fighter puts the butts in seats and viewers tuning in he should be rewarded.

Or we can keep talking about how great guys like Shakur are.
While they stink up the joint and discourage potential fans from following the sport.

Not a good year for the boxing elitists of the combat world.

First a 0-0 MMA fighter arguably beats the HW champ of this generation which they claimed would never happen.

And now one of their top boxers is expressing interest in crossing over into MMA which they claim never happens.

Wake me up when he actually has an MMA fight. Talk is cheap.

You don’t hit hit harder with MMA gloves compared to 10 /12 0z heavier boxing gloves you hit more accurately and it causes more superficial damage like cuts bruising etc faster . You also need to land more correctly in MMA because there’s far less taping on the wrist, you can hurt your hand easier with the less padding and smaller surface of the glove .

Wilder has had several hand injuries from punching Wilder torn biceps from poor technique to ,, his hands aren’t really reinforced by his small forearms and wrist he’d be asking for more breakages in MMA if he doesn’t get taking down first .

I don’t think this is real anyway the amount he’d get would be much less then any boxing bout really at this point . His height gives him a big advantage in boxing but it would do the opposite in MMA he’d be a sitting duck being to tall against competent grapplers for take downs on those long limbs . You need very good base and balance in MMA , he’s totally top heavy . If he is serious and actually has a legit training sessions for a week where they don’t hold back on him my guess he will change his mind .

You probably didn't think Ngannou would ever get that big boxing fight. Let alone do well if he got it.

Also it's really not about Wilder stepping inside the octagon after all the BS politics clear up. The point is that he wans to do MMA seriously. Boxing elitists always claimed that MMA guys want to do Boxing and never the other way around. That fantasy too has now shattered.

You have no idea what I think.

And, again, talk is cheap. The only fantasy here is yours. You probably think Fury had egg weights in his gloves, too. Wilder said it, it must be true.

I don't know why you would think I'm against him, I like Fury, he's the one who gave Ngannou the chance to prove that MMA is superior to Boxing which it is.
