The only one who fought scared was Stevenson. Santos was trying to engage but Stevenson was only interested in moving back every single time. He wasn't looking to counter. He was doing it to avoid any action. Santos clearly won that fight as Stevenson didn't land anything what-so-ever. Those compubox stats are as corrupt as the entire system is. Arum, the judges and the ref can be corrupt with their faces and names on show, but the people who push buttons who don't show their face or have their names out there aren't corrupt? Haha. Yeah, they are. They're there for justifying the corruption with propaganda and trying to convince you with stats that are factual lies.

I agree, they both fought cautious and scared. It takes two and DLS wasn’t exactly forcing the fight.

A fighter forcing the fight against a supposed “runner”/highly defensive fighter would be like Castillo and Maidana vs Mayweather.

And Mayweather is way better in the defense department AND offense department than Stevenson. And DLS wasn’t really doing much. He wasn’t forcing anything. Didn’t try to cut off the ring, wasn’t really focused on going to the body, etc.

It was a terrible performance by both, and the punches that did land were the 2-3 weak jabs landed by Shakur from time to time.

It was an all around pathetic fight.

What Stephenson is missing is that fight was supposed to be a showcase for him. He talks so much about how great he is and how skillful he is and for him to literally run from De Los Santos is very telling. This is a track record for him against speed and power, he shies away from it. This is not the first time he’s fought like this.
