What I do think people miss about 'boring' fighters is the fact that they can shut down their opponents' offense. It may not look flashy but to make a fighter not want to fight is some serious skill

It was a stylistic nightmare for both of them. Expecting them to engage was like telling someone to jump off a cliff.
They should never make these types of fights again unless one or both is/are willing to take risks.
They're both terrified of getting hit. They hug on for dear life when they get too close to each other.
Then you have a referee known for injecting himself too much in any fight, never allowing for inside fighting;
just looking at his posture of always aiming to interfere at the slightest hold will tell you what this ref is all about.

Why should DLS have to chase him? He will just run and DLS will swing at air and it will look bad. He has no obligation to chase a runner. Im not sure why anyone ever does. If thats what Stevenson needs him to do to look good, then DLS totally wiped out his game plan. One things for sure, he wasnt the one who was scared.

Actually that type of scoring would help the sport. The 10-point-must rule needs to be abolished, and not just because it would remove opportunities for corrupt judges to give close rounds to the house fighter. If both fighters do shhit, then score it 0-0, and only score 1-0 for the figher who clearly won that round. Runners who refuse to engage will be saddled with more draws in their record = less fan draw = less money.
