Shakur saying they were both scared sums that fight up really well.
I have always been a Stevenson guy but this fight was a revert back to some of his early fights. I understand the whole " play it safe" but boring fights do not sell! Same reason why Boo Boo Andrade is not popular!
What I do think people miss about 'boring' fighters is the fact that they can shut down their opponents' offense. It may not look flashy but to make a fighter not want to fight is some serious skill
1, where the fack do they get their stats in reality?
2, what world are people living in where they think this over rated kid won that fight?
3, he ran and held, tried some funny business then rightly, santos threw a couple of elbows on the inside.
4, santos was the aggressor from start to finish and threw far more than the runner, end of.
5, to claim a win after the fight was disgusting to say the least, and the 8iatch doin the post fight analysis was talkin about a different fight, the runner was only busier on his bike.
6, santos won.
This dude is beyond sensitive. Can’t take any type of criticism whatsoever. I bought into the hype about him being a generational talent a bit too early, but so far, I haven’t quite see it yet and he sure as hell hasn’t live up to it yet(don’t know or think if he ever will). I don’t think his heart is truly in the game to be an ATG, he wants to be involved in the streets more so than being a dedicated discipline boxer. Good technical boxer with a solid defense, but fights like a one-prick pony, he’s more on Rigondeaux level more so than Floyd’s level. No variation to his offense or defense. Defense is simply step back, step back in a straight line, or he’ll shift his upper body left or right to avoid a punch, but still stationary and easily telegraphed. Offense is very basic, he doesn’t know how to put everything together and mix it all up consistently.
