Ring ratings are biased. I disagree with them. But the same is true of all ratings by anyone. Including mine.

Whereas the WBC is corrupt and chases popularity (badly).

The tide is starting to turn. Ngannou's elevation just can't be defended on any boxing basis.

Personally I thought the 'Franchise' debacle should have been the point at which the WBC lost any remaining credibility. They basically reached a point where the Undisputed lightweight champion didn't need to hold the WBC's belt as they couldn't decide who their champion was.

I'm surprised it's taken this long but hopefully it's the beginning of the end.

IMO the Ring is just as corrupt as the other orgs. I remember during that entire Canelo positive test debacle, the Ring's "editor" went to social media and admitted he was ordered by Golden Boy, who own the Ring, to NOT remove Canelo from his Ring belt or the Ring rankings due to the positive test. After that, I never visited the Ring or bought a magazine ever again.

They were a lil Shady when they 1st bought it but their committee is filled with non partisan people now. GB got a ton of backlash back then. They swallowed their pride and learned their lesson
