Tank is 29 year old and fought nobody. Canelo at around 23 face Trout, Mayweather, and Lara.

He's not fought anybody that is half decent, quite pathetic at nearly 30 yrs old. By this point he should have fought Shakur, Haney and Lopez at least once each if boxing wasn't completely ****ed up.

He has no marquee names or prime fighters of his weight class. They have been picking and choosing opponents that they can get a pay day. Not bad names but nothing spectacular. I would not say that he has not fought anyone that is not half way decent but he doesn't have that defining win.

          What a great comment here

its easy to knock out tomato cans and drained fighters. its easy to disply a great set of skills when you arent facing hte best.

hes beaten 3 top 10(ring mag) guys and they were ranked 6, 7(rehydro clause), and 9 in 6 years. thats not impressive at all and we know he has blatantly ducked top guys and even ducked other top 5 guys like tevin farmer and alberto machado who arent guys to be ducked. he fights teeny tiny men moving up, drains his opponents, and flat out ducks anyone near the top. the worst of boxing. is he a good fighter? i mean sure hes a top 10 quality fighter but his resume and lack of intestinal fortitude shouldnt give him the accolades he is getting but money talks and boxing media is giving him a pass

Everyone said Bud had a crap resume (until the Spence fight) but when he was 29, he's already gone undisputed in 140 and cleaned out the division. Sure it took another 6 years but when it mattered, he defeated Spence and went undisputed for the second time.

Tank Davis just turned 29 now, and after having been fighting in lightweight (with a random up and down and catchweight sprinkled in between) since 2019 for FOUR full years, is still "real" beltless in lightweight. Despite what wikipedia and the alphabet organizations and his fans say, I personally don't consider his vacant WBA "Regular" belt he got when he fought Gamboa as a "real" belt. During that time span, he has ducked Loma, he has ducked Teo, he has ducked Haney, and he will continue ducking Shakur after he wins against De Los Santos to win the vacant belt Haney got stripped. Oh well, I guess he can still feel good about his belt when he gets the email from WBA that Haney got stripped and he was elevated.

In 29 fights, he has fought a world belt holder only three times: Jose Pedraza (IBF super feather), Leo Santa Cruz (WBA (Super) super feather), and Mario Barrios (WBA (Regular) super light). He fought for a vacant belt twice including his current one he has. He has seven successful defense against less than top tier fighters.

you are completely right but its sort of a waste of time. ggg beat 10 top guys with 3 or 4 in the top 5 in like 5 years and they said he was bum bashing but tank hasnt even fought a top 5 guy and hes p4p level. they dont care its just hero worship

I'm not buying this. Tim Bradley was good at fighting not talking like he is now. So, whenever he say something ******, just ignore him. Tank Davis might not have the boxing skills of Shakur's but he has very good skills himself and his punching power is 4x of Shakur's. My take is, if they fight in a decent time window, Davis will KO Shakur.
