I will say this. The IBF deserves some credit for allowing the undisputed fight to take place because the rematch clause was well known beforehand so whoever won was not going to defend against their mandatory afterwards anyway. Surely they knew this and didn't want to be the one org to block that fight for all the belts.

Water under the bridge. None of this really matters.

Facts. I think Al might even try to dissuade Errol from taking the rematch. Bud is an animal and animal are not to be fkd with.

Yes, 42-0 the same way Jaimie Mungia is 42-0 or Zurdo Ramirez was like 46-0 or something

Canelo was not a great fighter at that point.

He didn't become a great fighter until he fought GGG

You’re an idiot. What are you 16? Just because you started paying attention to boxing doesn’t make the past less significant. Canelo was great FAR BEFORE GGG. He had tuff fights with Lara, Trout and Mayweather.
GGG is a good fighter but he had no good fighters in his weight class till Canelo came along. It’s not his fault but to me he’s above average but not great. Look what Mayweather did to Canelo. That’s GREAT. Delahoya, Moseley, Pac, Holyfield, Chavez and others. Those are great. G is just above average.

Canelo wants to fight the bests.

It is well reported that Canelo was dropping already a lot of weight to make 154.

If I was Bud I'm sure I'd be like fook them too lol, but as a fan I wish belt situations were handled in a timely manner like this one was more often.

That said I do kinda think its bs having all the belts is the same as having one belt as far as mando's go.

Like I think in a more sensible world where there were 4 "world" belts you'd wanna make being the mando being a higher road to get to cuz you are gonna win 4 belts not just the one you are mando for vs an undisputed guy like Bud. So I'd like to see undisputed guys have less mando's by way of the 4 #1 guys/mando on deck guys being made to fight another guy at that level to upgrade themselves to the undisputed mando or some such level like that. It'd make more sense than a guy who's won 4 belts being in a mando roulette situation where they always got some mando fight on deck.

He didn't have a "tough" fight with Mayweather.

Mayweather beat him 10-2. That's just outclassed. He wasn't ready yet.

Also, he barely sc****d by Trout & Lara, who last I checked aren't all-time great fighters.

He never fought either Charlo at 154 or Andrade.

He waited until GGG was 36 to fight him.

There was NOTHING great on his resume until the 2nd GGG fight where he had an argument for winning (but still lost)

It is at 168, you could argue that he is an all-time great in a division.

They striped you because you are a moron. You made it pretty much clear you had no intention of fighting Boots.

You want to lose to Canelo and cash out anyway, so sh.ut the f.uck up.
