Wallin has only ever beaten a declining Breazeale in his entire boxing career. Wallin just went a split decision with Gassiev who has never fought a top-50 HW in his life. Otto Wallin is a way, way overrated guy and his rise to fame was a horrible cut on Fury but he couldn't even win that or even make it a close fight. If Otto couldn't beat a top HW who had a massive cut over the eye, what hope does he have against a big, strong opponent?

It is the least risk, highest reward fight out there for AJ at this time.
Split decision was BS, Otto Wallin clearly beat Gassiev. Gassiev was just the a-side is why he got favorable score cards. Not a low reward though, AJ is definitely getting a big payday for this fight

Anyone who doesn't think Joshua fighting Wallin is a risk is either a blatantly bias AJ hater or they don't know anything about boxing. Joshua has looked shaky lately. Wallin could definitely ruin a potential AJ/Wilder matchup in 2024. I give AJ a lot of credit for taking such a dangerous fight.
Fighting a southpaw is always a risk, especially on 5 weeks notice - and the Fury fight should've been stopped, but really, Wallin is a pretty average boxer.

AJ may struggle to look good or find a rhythm, southpaws are nightmares, but at worst he wins a decision handily.

This battered and close to shot Parker is the best boxer Wilder has fought outside Fury... but... he's battered and close to shot. Doubt he has much resistance left.

I mean while interesting, there's little doubt who wins either fight, because the opponents are not good enough or shot.

I think I'm the only fella who isn't all that excited about this. AJ/Wallin should be in London and Wilder/Parker should be in Vegas. I know they 'secured the bag' but this may be setting a terrible precedence for us REAL boxing fans. If AJ and Wilder happens next and it's not done in the UK or Vegas but in Saudi am going to be very disappointed because that means other big fights will go over there and we will get robbed from being able to go to the fights to watch OUR sport!!

This is basically a bunch of stay busy fights packed into one event.

I just wonder if we’ll ever see the big fights again in London, Las Vegas , New York etc. or is it going to be Saudi full stop . I wonder if the Saudi’s don’t want a fight at a particular time , the boxers will hang around until they do ! , that seems to have happened with Wilder v Joshua who couldn’t do it elsewhere . Fury v Usyk ultimately fell through without the Saudi’s money . Development’s will be interesting!

It’s a decent starter for the main event just seven weeks later which seems a lot more even now given the big guy’s recent struggle.
It will be interesting to see which network carries it because I just saw the press conference on YT and it looked almost like a Frank Warren controlled event. If I'm Dazn there is no way I'm letting this play on ESPN+ in the States.

Do you think you're speaking in such coded language that only the British navy can figure it out. Sheesh haha. Now why don't you find pictures of all his other fights when the role was reversed, you know since you seem to be obsessed with certain fighters. wink wink

people really saying this is a great card? has boxing sunk that low? dont follow boxing so much now so am out of the loop but no wonder people watch UFC instead if this is seen as an 'incredible' card, jesus christ, i genuinely clicked on the thread thinking people were going to be criticizing it because joshua and wilder are fighting C-level opponents (maybe D level in shot parkers case now) instead of each otheror have we not waited long enough for them to fight each other yet? bivol will win every round in his fight, miller v dubois is pretty interesting and competitive on paper but then again neither of them are that great are they, couple of fringe level fighters one with no heart and one who is a drugs cheat... fair enough if you guys think its amazing though whatever floats your boat i guess
