Comments Thread For: Liam Davies: I Expect Inoue To Beat Tapales, I Feel Like He Could Beat Featherweights

Overlooked and underappreciated or one of the best kept secrets in boxing? Within the space of 14 fights, Liam Davies has won and defended the English, British and European super bantamweight titles as well as a host of international belts. Still the man from Donnington receives a fraction of the attention that other less accomplished fighters are given.

He can beat featherweights, and he can -- and will -- be beaten by featherweights.

At this point is there anyone outside Tapales himself or his promoter that is going to say otherwise though?
I've seriously yet to see anyone, even haters, that actually genuinely believes that they expect Tapales to win this match.

Inoue fans: Inoue's gonna win easily. The question is what round.
Inoue haters: Inoue's going beat a ****ty no body (Tapales) to go undisputed unlike Bud who actually beat Spence.
Tapales fans (if there are any): Well good for Tapales to get a chance to make millions that he would've otherwise never made
Tapales haters (if there are any): He's gonna get destroyed. Should've been MJ that is fighting him.

Tapales looked very sharp taking the belt from MJ. He's a strong guy with good skills.

But it's hard to pick against the Monster. The closest he's looked to human was against Donaire, and he fought for 10 more rounds with a broken orbital, and then made the adjustment and stopped him round 2 of the rematch. Everyone else to date has had to fight Inoue's fight, no matter their style.
