Comments Thread For: Crawford: 'I See A lot of Spence Fans Mad at Me and Jumping on Boots Sack Now!'

Terence Crawford apparently still has a significant chip on his shoulder. The now former undisputed welterweight champion from Omaha, Nebraska, couldn't help but notice the attitude of some fans (or critics) toward him after the International Boxing Federation stripped him of his 147-pound title last week for his inability to comply with a mandatory defense against top-rated contender Jaron "Boots" Ennis.

He's got a point though. Spence should've fought Boots long before he fought Crawford if anything.

To be the man you gotta beat the man. He has an obligation and the other bodies should accept this. Really, it should be fight Ennis after that, simple.
let’s not forget, the fat diddycoy gets to fight an ex mma star, get beaten and stil lay claim and avoid the mandatory. I say fack all the belts, it’s about who is recognised by the genuine boxing fans who is the best and at this weight at the moment, that would Terence Crawford.

Idk why they would jump on the Boots bandwagon. I’m a Spence fan, I rooted for Spence against Crawford, I predicted Spence would win. I don’t see why people can’t just give Crawford his credit.

If he never fights Boots, I wouldn’t care. Crawford has bigger fish to fry at 154 vs Charlo, Tszyu, and there’s also Canelo if he’s serious about that.

Boots is good but Crawford is under no obligation to fight him. Just thinking reasonably. Now as a mindless fan who doesn’t care about what makes sense for the fighter, I am intrigued by Crawford-Boots, a little bit. Not by all that much. Since I haven’t seen Boots at the B level yet. Idk what to get excited about.

spence was and is just not that good. Garcia, Porter both had claim to a win in my opinion. Kell Brook was winning until the detached retina, he wasn’t discombobulated in any way. I’ve never rated spence and up until a couple of years ago, never really rated Crawford but since then, he has demonstrated his skills and deserves to be where he is without any f these rediculous belts. Ennis would have beaten spence at any time.

Well Terence , to get them off of Boots sack , beat him up. You and Spence should have already fought the dude the way I see it. I don't see any reason at all for a Spence rematch , at any weight. Nobody , even Spences momma thinks that he has any shot of beating Crawford. A rematch with Spence won't make any money.

Id like to see Bud move up at this point. Give Errol the rematch at 154 just to calm the haters. By that time Jermell should have his mind made up and Bud will have 2 good options at 154.

If Spence doesn't happen make the fight with Charlo or Ennis.

They always want a guy to beat the guy who beat their guy... I'd rather see him take the rematch at 54... and then beat Tszyu and then beat Charlo and ride off into the sunset as an ATG...
