You can often feel or spot or know a fighters damaged but not know the full extent until they're in there.

Same with Fury who I've been saying is really past it but I'd have never in a million years expected him to look that bad vs Ngannou.
Many are struggling with it I feel and claiming he fights up and down etc, I think he is shot to bits.

Haye vs Bellew, another from recent memory.

I think Spence is badly damaged like he shouldn't be fighting or cleared to fight. Its painfully obvious to me as much as Crawford is just wrong for him.
So badly that the only time I've seen anything like that was Ali right at the tail end of his career.
I'm honestly concerned for the guy and hope he retires.

I stay away from betting these days, its not like it used to be but I picked Crawford.

To be honest he was even worse than I could have ever expected even if I did have major concerns.

Its like Sergio vs Cotto which I was **** wrong about. Sometime you just don't know until a fighters in there.
Feels to me like people are changing the narrative to avoid giving Crawford his just due.

That’s coming from a Spence fan too.

He didn’t do anything, so they rightfully took action.

You can hate the facts all you care to. Doesn’t change the facts.
That's fine, as I have said in my original post, I have no problem with the IBF stripping T-Bud.

Giving Boots a paper title however was weak sauce.

How is it a "paper title"? Boots was the interim champion (aka, if the real champ doesn't fight you, you'll be the real champ), he got it from beating Chukhadzian.

Let me give you a history lesson on what should have happened here.

In 2011 Berto was the IBF champion. Randall Bailey was the mandatory. Berto chose to fight Ortiz for two reasons: to avenge his only loss and because the network (HBO) saw no money in a Bailey mandatory.

Berto vacated the IBF because he knew that IBF wouldn't support the Ortiz rematch.

In 2006, Mayweather won the IBF from Judah and vacated it to fight Baldomir rather than face his mandatory, a complete nobody. He wanted to fight Spinks, but the media was overhyping Baldomir at the time. Mayweather vacated it - and more importantly, Mayweather never went after that title again. Because he knew that IBF was going to force mandatories. That's why he said "a belt does not define Floyd Mayweather".

The point is, Crawford could have just vacated rather than get stripped. Literally after winning the belts, vacate them if you're not staying at 147.

IF you ARE staying at 147, fight your mandatory.

If you don't want to do that, vacate just the one forcing the fight, like Josh Taylor started doing.

It wouldn't surprise me if the network sees no money in a Boots fight. Spence at 154 is the realistic money fight.

Either way, the wrong answer is what Crawford did, which is nothing but media interviews calling out lightweights and super middleweights.

Jaron didn't beat Terence in the ring hence paper title aka big booty world champion.

And Tim Tszyu didn’t beat Jermell in the ring. What’s that make him?

An email champ. Just like Haney was email champ until he beat Kambosos. If you get elevated by email, without beating the guy, you're email champ until you prove yourself. Ennis now has a chance to do that, and the skills to define his own era, but he's got to actually do it. Maybe give him a chance to actually build a resume before you go too crazy hating on Bud.

                  What hate?

The interim title is literally, "if the current champ ducks you, you become the champ". That's literally what it means.

Ennis is the champion because Crawford REFUSED to fight him. Openly.

What part of that statement is false? I'll wait

Who cares? You didn't have that energy when Boots was mandatory for Spence for twice as long, and where was all this when Spence didn't defend his IBF title for 5 years? You're a hypocrite.

                      Yes I did.

When Crawford walked away from negotiations, I said Spence should just move on to Keef or get a mandatory (Boots) out of the way.
