With the age of the rest of the division, Usyk, Wilder and Fury there's still a chance Joshua could go on a decent run as 'the man'. Espeically since Fury looked utterly atrocious in his last fight. The pathway is there with Joshua. Wether he wants it or not is another matter. Does he really have the hunger anymore with £100m sitting in the bank? We shall see.

I don't like this rhetorical device people use when they pose a question they immediately answer themselves. It's like he's trying to anticipate difficult questions and get them out of the way. I won't be impressed if he ends up winning another vacant belt.

Do I want to get myself to the championship? I would love to. Am I going to be smart in how I get there? Yes. Do I know more about boxing than I used to? 100 percent. Am I still trying to improve as a boxer? Yes..

AJ has an enormous ego, it's just more subtle. For one thing he obviously fancies himself as a philosopher. Also, look at his ring entrances when he was titleholder, ridiculously over the top with fireworks and raised platforms. Not sure if it was more lowkey for his last two fights as I didn't watch. His ego will motivate him to carry on, plus he's greedy for money. Look at all the endorsements he had, which were arguably a distraction from his boxing.

Hrgovic is with Hearn. Why doesn't Eddie overpay Hrgovic to fight AJ? If AJ wins, he becomes mandatory. I bet Eddie won't put him in that fight.

AJ already turned down 2 chances to fight Fury in the last 12 months. Hearn admitted that turned it down. So there was a chance to be WBC champ.

I believe the ibf will order Hrgovic v Wallin as they're 1 & 2. If Aj really wanted that belt shot he'd be paying Wallin handsomely for that fight in December /January & the #2 ibf spot.

AJ is a deep thinker but lacks the vocabulary to express himself in any way other than coming off as a bit of a nob.

Bottom line is , all's I want to see is Joshua in a decent fight ., fighting somebody decent .Forget all this crap about ' getting himself to the championship'...Joshua has made it very clear in the recent past ,' it's all about money' ...his own words !

The belts falling vacant depends on Fury and Usyk fighting. Twice.

Hearn/Joshua, and all the other contenders for that matter, are playing a game that involves millions of dollars. I wouldn't be betting that on Fury and Usyk fighting.

If the fight doesn't happen then there's not much point in any pathway that leads to Usyk.

That being the case, the WBC might be his best route. A Wilder v Joshua fight would be huge... and would setup a mega fight v Fury.

But Wilder will be looking at championship fights that don't involve Fury.

Everyone in the division is waiting to see if this fight happens.
