I don't think any matchups can break that 1million barrier if I'm being honest. Boxings dying has been for a while now. Even all those marquee matchups we had this year none even came close to a million buys. Best you can hope for is around 750,000

There are not many fights, if any, which will do 1 million buys outside of Usyk Fury. I think Usyk Fury will be the last fight that does 1 million+. There is nobody Canelo can fight and Mexicans/illegals etc are not spending $100 for a ppv. So the actual base for that fight is just not gonna buy it.

This. There are no more cable networks who can put together marketing for these fights. There is really no platform like the NFL network/MLB network etc to really give exposure to not only the top guys, but any of the up and coming guys. You would be hard pressed to even find people who casually watch boxing tell you who the top 5 contenders are let alone up and coming prospects.

If you ask people who Canelo should fight next Benavidez quickly comes into the conversation. If David has an impressive win it can do a million buys.

It didnt do well because of the boxing fandom, it did well because the fadon the two guys had outside if boxing, it was very popular amongst influencers and rappers.

Boxing pUrIstS shat on it hoping for a flop.

**** with how skewed the rankings are we cant even tell who the actual contenders are.

I think he’ll be lucky to get the numbers of Bivol.

It’s only a big fight to core boxing fans.
You really comparing Bivols fan base to Benavidez? Russia doesnt give a crap about him or the US. He is a boring euro fighter. Benavidez is mexican american and one of the most exciting fighters in the sport, it does over 1M for sure.
