Bivol. Usyk gets out of position and off balance too often.

Usyk has accomplished more, but TBH they have different strengths and styles, and I think Loma has more tools in his toolbox than either guy, but he's also got 3 losses now.

Bivol is mainly an in and out fighter who stands in front and doesn't seem to look for angles that often. He's got elite timing and is one of the best guys I've seen at staying off the ropes by using his offense at just the right time, and clearly knows how to fight going forward or backwards.

Usyk and Loma tend to look for angles and seek positional advantage for their offense, and do a lot of feints etc to keep mental pressure on. But Loma has demonstrated more nuance in the inside game.

Usyk for me. More dimensions to his game, more of a maverick too. Bivol is incredibly solid fundamentally but his skills don’t exactly wow you. It’s all very textbook. Usyk does things many fighters simply can’t do.

I reviewed some Bivol to see where he’s lacking

Usyk is willing to trade punches much more than Loma, that’s why he’s made the better pro IMO.

He blocks punches using the high guard mainly.

Usyk and Loma have this wild Cossack way to their boxing style

Personally, I think it's that there's lower skill overall, even at the highest level, at cruiserweight and heavyweight. Higher degree of danger from single punches, but the talent pool is lower. It's especially rare to see people with good movement in those classes, let alone high activity rate, good head movement, etc. Think about how some of the top guys would do with their demonstrated skill sets and tools that they use, if they were shrunk down to a lower weight class. If Tyson Fury were shrunk to a 147lb version, how do you think he'd do? What if he were at 115?

Bivol took less damage. He’s not more skilled but he’s faster I feel like.

there are certain fights like with Ramirez and Canelo that Bivol didn’t even get a bruise. Both of those are world class fighters.

usyk got beat up by Derek chisora
