Are my numbers right??? (mosley/cotto final punchstats)

    take from http://www.boxingscene.com/forums/vi...e_mosley_final

seriously, I think mosley won the fight and it wasn't as close as I thought...

anyone see if I messed up on any of the calculations?

    1) except for the 1st round mosley consistently outworked cotto by throwing more punches

    2) mosley landed more punches than cotto in rounds 2,3,4,7,10,11 (total of 6 rounds) with the 12th a tie... while cotto only landed more punches in the 1,5,6,8,9 (total of 5 rounds only!!!!).

    Jabs Landed / Thrown

sure, cotto landed many more jabs than mosley did at a higher pecentage BUT....

    Power Punches Landed / Thrown

mosley destroyed cotto in the amount of power punches landed...

    1) mosley landed more power punches in rounds 1,2,3,5,7,9,10,11,12 (9 mutha****ing rounds *****!!!)

    2) and mosley swept the rounds in terms of accuracy of his power punches!!!!!

I'm now more confident than ever that mosley won this mutha****in fight! it wasn't just a close fight that could go either way... mosley won this mutha****in fight and got robbed!!!

bwhahahaahah you shouldn't have posted the stats!!!!

the only reason why the stats are skewed for cotto is because cotto landed more jabs than mosley, while mosley was landing bombs on this mutha****er!!! bombs!!!!!!

Certainly better than your ****** "context" argument.

But even with all that, Mosley admitted he lost.

Punch stats don't really mean much. How many freakin ppl had Collazo winning the Berto fight....go look at those punch stats.

You yourself say you thought Cotto beat Clottey...look at those punch stats.

Your improving though...at least your using something concrete.

the commentary ****** in that fight, it couldve gone either way 7-5....i thought it was a tie not a robbery....mosley didnt fight good that night if it was the current mosley he wouldve put more power into his punches....there was a point in the 12th when cotto was in the corner and mosley just let him walk outta there....

Cotto was landing the harder more effective blows in the fight....

Mosley was frustrated...When Cotto pushed the pace he won the fight....When Mosley started to dance around the ring Cotto won the fight...when Cotto decided to box more and fight on the back foot he won the fight...The only time Mosley started turning the tables was in the mid rounds when he got super aggressive cause his dancing hadn't worked and he knew he was behind...sadly though Cotto began to time him...because he was coming in open and too aggressive...Cotto beat the shyt out of Mosley...It was glorious.

He did not beat the s*** out of Mosley. For every big left hook or combo Cotto landed Mosley would land a big right of his own. It was a close, really good fight, I had it 115-113 Cotto.

You can't just look at the punch stats and assume that one person should win. If you actually watched the fight live, you wouldn't think that Mosley had any advantage in any catagory. Cotto controlled how the fight was fought...and it was a clear victory to me...no landslide, but a comfortable won fight by Cotto. I like Mosley, but he didn't win that fight. I was in a house full of Mosley fans(my friend named his dog Mosley, has his autograph, etc, etc) and he thinks that it was a loss for Mosley. The only reason this is coming back up is because Mosley pulled a Kanye and now everyone is looking back at what he's done to deserve to be in the big money fights.
