No we had enough embarrassment, we should just take it on the chin and hope people forget.

as for what sonnen said, Think of any sport, now think of their absolute top guy, now imagine another guy from a different sport, 37 years old, humiliating and beating that top guy in their own game.
Just think of it...just think of the best hand ball team beating the lakers.

Just think of usain bolt winning gold medal in 5000m race in the Olympics.

Just think of tyson fury going into the UFC at 37yo after his retirement from boxing, outwrestling Jon Jones.

That's what happened...only difference is the judges are on the promoters payroll.

Chael Sonnen posted a video saying that boxing isn’t that skilled of a sport. Basically trashing on boxing, and he isn’t the only one.

The only way to redeem the sport is by sending a boxer into the cage and let them fight mma fighter.

Somebody’s got to sacrifice themselves for the disgrace and shame fury has put on the sport of boxing. Get that payback!

I nominate Deontay Wilder, he’s the safest bet to get the job done, he can detonate on them before they have a chance to take him down. Or Canelo Alvarez.
The Tim Sylvia example was provided.

The opposite of course happened with James Toney:

I always trained that left high kick in the boxing gym lmao

Holly softened up Rousey with constant straight lefts but the kick is what got the job done.

No one is forcing MMA guys to cross over.
They do it to make money.

If a boxer feels MMA will get him more money, then yes.

Who cares what the MMA people say. Even though fat slob Fury embarrassed himself more than anything, the MMA fighters are still begging for the big boxing matches to make money because they get paid so low, even risking getting knocked out by a Youtube star.

If you send a boxer into MMA 1 time out of 10 they will catch someone early and win, but the other 9 times they will lose more quickly and easily than the MMA guys lose in boxing. You definitely wont be seeing a boxer actually go a 5 rounder with an elite MMA fighter and arguably get robbed by the judges like what we just saw with Fury/Ngannou.

Also lol @ the concept of wanting to get payback, like its MMAs fault that the HW boxing champion of the world lured an 0-0 in boxing MMA fighter into a straight up no compromise boxing match, and still managed to **** the bed. If anything this was well deserved payback on boxing for playing host to these one sided crossover fights and gimmick fights for years and using MMA fighters and Youtubers to get attention.

my thoughts exactly, boxers are too one dimensional and boxing rules are very restrictive for an MMA guy, whereas an MMA match will leave boxers guessing on how to deal with attacks from various positions. I've followed boxing since the late 80s and watched UFC 1 on ppv. The funniest moment from the earliest UFCs was when a boxer entered wearing one boxing glove, needless to say he was taken down and got destroyed quickly lol
