If a hook misses the elbow can catch them in the face, it isnt that big of a deal

Should if been disqualified for that.
I guarantee you if Ngannou would have done that. He would have been disqualified.

Fury was missing shots all night, including right hands and uppercuts but somehow he is able to time an elbow now? or maybe he just missed the hook like he was missing every other shot and the elbow landed.

4oz gloves? those are designed to allow fighters to grapple, not to maximize striking damage on the other guy's face. just like boxing gloves aren't designed to protect the opponent's face, it's to protect your hands. i dunno what kind of handwraps they use under the mma gloves, but i doubt they're anything like the concrete blocks that boxing wraps can be. i'd much rather get hit with the mma glove than a boxing glove
The main thing with 4oz gloves is they make the guard less effective. Shots slip through much easier and the gloves dont absorb incoming fire anywhere near as well. Its also much easier to get cut.

Ngannou showed a cast iron jaw while Fury got dropped. Sweet irony.

I thought he would have no power in boxing, there have been many "strikers" including connor and diaz who had no power in boxing. ngannou broke that trend though, he has real power and Tyson fought scared after he was dropped.

Ngannou didn't 'break a trend' he simply proved the boxing elitists wrong.

A puncher is a puncher. Diaz never was, and Conor has not displayed 1 punch KO power at 155lbs and 170, he only showed that power @ 145lbs against smaller opponents who walked into his straight left. Mayweather was much bigger than those little mma guys and he obviously saw Conor's punches coming.

Same thing with boxing fans thinking MMA guys don't have chins. Ngannou has a better chin than any boxer. smaller gloves have a bigger impact, If anything MMA guys in general have better chins since they take kicks, knees and elbows to the head which are more powerful strikes than punches.

Nate was always pillow fisted though.

Conor did have power but I wouldnt call him an Ngannou, Rumble, Hendo level puncher, and Floyd is just too skilled for power to matter anyway.

Out of the current crop I think Pereira and Pavlovich at least have good power. And Pereiras power is proven in boxing gloves too given his kickboxing background.

Remember he was also scared to engage against Lewis and got outstruck in the first Stipe fight.
Francis said after the fight that his knee prevented him from striking, which is why he took it to the ground. He said he wanted to finish out his contract with the UFC so badly that he took the fight anyway, even though he was greatly compromised. In the first Stipe fight, he spent most of the fight on his back and getting struck in the knees (Stripe is a very good wrestler), but he learned from the experience and destroyed Stipe in the rematch.

Anyway, you were making an invalid point regarding the Gane fight, no matter how you try to spin it, and it in spite of being compromised for that fight, he put on a powerful ground game and Gane was completely dominated.

And both Lewis and Francis were very respectful of each other's power, they threw only 31 punches combined. You can't single out Francis for that, it was labelled a very dull fight by all accounts.

That elbow was a DELIBERATE shot. He pretended to throw a right hook and “stepped in”. Something boxers don’t do very often. That elbow would make Mayweather envious.
