A few years ago this would have been an acceptable passing of the torch type fight to give Tank exposure. Now its just silly.

ya silly if ya think tank can beat manny at 145-147.. this is a dangerous fight for tank.. pac has fought bigger guys and taken punches from bigger guys. even in his mid 40s, pac still has the speed and power. this is a risky fight for tank. pac will toy with tank. i rather see inoue move up and challenge tank instead. that would be a more realistic fight.

Maybe he just wants more money. I doubt he’s broke, it could just be a “want” thing. Maybe he’s motivated to have 1-2 more fights. Who knows.

If you can make $8-$10m on command, for 1 night of work+ some weeks of training/promoting for the fight…wouldn’t you do it?

If he comes back to fight some popular boxer, even a flop would gross him a minimum of like $10m probably.

For 99% of us, that’s something you can only get from winning the lottery, which comes with its astronomically low chances of winning. Pacquiao can just ask for it and earn it guaranteed.

As a Pac fan, I wish he would just stay retired at this point. This can go on to be similar to what Roy Jones Jr. fans experienced with his career. At the height of his powers, he was otherworldly. Folks thought he was untouchable and could never be beat. Then he came back down from heavyweight and looked super lackluster and went onto strings of embarrassing losses.

While, we'll always have footage of the past to remind us of someone's greatness, it doesn't take away from the you currently see of that same person. It's like watching a successful dude become a drug addict and his life falls apart right in front of everyone. People won't care about what that person did/had, they'll think about what they see right now and who they became.

If Pacquiao has managed to retain at least 70% of the speed of his prime, I'd give him a shot even against Tank, right now.

But following the loss to Ugas he said he had leg cramps. So I really don't know what to think. He's been out of the ring for a long time now. Should he really come back and defeat Davis, that would be one for the ages.

I doubt that it will happen.

He will deal for Tank to come up in weight some how.

If they fight Pac will look like he is winning the fight until he gets put down. He should stay retire or do other exhibition fights.

That's pretty much how I see it.

Pac is done, he mainly carries the marketable name, which I get if he just wants more money.

Which makes me partially assume that's what he is blurting Tank's name out for, for a huge paycheck or something.

all respect to tank but pac is just the better fighter here and more experience. at 145-147, it will be an easy win for manny even at this stage.
