Ah, so what I'm getting is Floyd is exempt because he has bigger money fights, but Cotto isn't because.......................he's not Floyd?

Cotto vs. Pac = Bigger money fight than with Williams
Cotto vs. Mayweather = Bigger money than with Williams
Cotto vs. Mosley = Bigger money fight than with Williams

****, even Cotto vs. Clottey is a bigger money fight than with Williams, but if Cotto doesn't fight Williams, he's ducking him? Cotto, who's fought and beaten more top 10 WW's than any other WW currently fighting.

why does floyd only have to fight draws? why can't he fight real WWs?

anyways.... whether or not pwill can make WW is a good question.

all this weight bs befuttals me---i don't see paul williams beating floyd at 154 let alone 147----i do believe floyd will fight paul williams as his last fight before he reitres again---paul just needs to focus on the fight at hand---he sounds like he wants mosley more than mayweather when he talks anyway---i don't see paul beating floyd period---floyd would beat paul and i feel he will fight him----

Not fighting someone does not equal ducking someone. If this is your definition of ducking, then nobody in boxing is free and clear.

If you want to judge like that make sure you do it to the guys you like also~.

Because most of us here on Boxingscene (And there was a poll) admitted that we'd prefer low risk and high reward, as oppose to high risk and low reward. Mayweather isn't gonna fight Paul, ain't gonna happen and I wouldn't consider it ducking either. He'd face Shane, Cotto and Pacquiao, all 3 would be legacy enhancing, fights people want to see and I see one threat out of those 3.

Although talented, Williams hasnt cemented himself long enough in a specific weight class to garner the fan support it would take to get a fight with Floyd. Fact of the matter is with his steady jumping from one weight class to another, even trying make a fight with Williams would be risky because who knows if he would even make weight, thereby disrupting many willing fans' schedule if a fight were ever made.

This with the fact that he isnt a draw equate to too many nonpositives in gaining a fight with Floyd. My advice to Williams would be to win some fights youre not supposed to win, win fights youre not supposed to lose(Quintana I), and get out there and do some ground work if need be and make your name be known.
