Will Floyd Be Allowed To Duck Williams Or Will He Be "Exempted"?

Williams has called out various fighters through out his career, Margarito, Cotto, Mosley, etc. Only Margarito has fought Williams. Cotto and Mosley have been subjected, as insignificant as it is really, to criticism from Floyd fans because of their reluctance to step up and fight the man who has said Cotto and Mosley's names.

Well, now, Williams has said Floyd's name. Will Floyd be subjected to the same treatment?

The same Floyd who was the WBC and RING WW champion, the same Floyd that these same fans claim is the best WW in the division currently, the same Floyd who DECLINED to fight the current LW champion at 144lbs and came in one pound shy of the 147LBS limit....

If Floyd doesn't fight him, is it a smart business decision since Williams isn't a name, or is it a plain and simple duck as it has been called by these same fans when it comes to Mosley and Cotto?

How is it that a fighter who has fought MOST of the top 10 WW's, fought MOST of the WW's Floyd won't fight, gets so much heat from these fans yet have no problem calling Floyd the best WW out there and give him a pass at the same time for not fighting WW's?

How will this situation be treated?

Paul Williams is not a draw and has Pavlik in front of him. A good question is,

Will Paul come back down to 147?

Williams is not even be on Floyd Radar and it makes not sense for him to even consider a Paul Willams fight when Pacquiao/Cotto/Mosley are all bigger fights and are all within grasp within the next year... Maybe in a year or so but then again in a year or so Paul Williams will probably be compaigning at 160-168 and I dont think he'll be able to physically make 147 like he thinks he can without being drained... It just wont happen Paul needs to just to stop calling Welterweights out they are not going to fight him give it a rest and just stay at 154-168

In my opinion, Floyd does not need to fight Paul Williams. First of all, Paul Williams is too big and should not be fighting guys like Mayweather and Pac. 2nd, Floyd would make much more money fighting guys like Pac, Mosley, and Cotto.
3rd Even though Williams did say Floyd's name, I think it was propaganda. Williams is a more natural Jr MW or MW and he only mentions superior fighters like Floyd because he knows he has a huge reach, height, and strength advantage. If Floyd were his size, but still had the same skills as he does now, do you think Paul would be eager to fight? I don't.

Paul Williams just needs to accept that he lost his chance to fight top welterweights when he moved up in weight. Floyd will get crap, he always gets crap, but Paul Williams is one fighter Floyd should not fight.
