Because one of them has to lose and get exposed by another limited fighter in that fight. Whichever of them loses isn't a golden goose any longer. Hearn and DLH are trying to milk as much of the hype as they can before the shine is totally off. Hearn is talking about it because his goose has already lost its luster and he's got nobody left to feed to Berlanga with his limited roster. DLH still wants to keep his chances of Munguía fighting Canelo in May alive. Munguía is at least fighting Ryder apparently. Hearn has nobody for Berlanga.

Brits love overusing the word massive. Canelo hasn’t had a massive fight in 5 years and these 2 ACH Mohawks aren’t gonna be the one to do it.

I agree. I was a big Berlanga guy early on. My wife knows his aunt and I have been following him from the beginning of his career. i attended a few of his fights and I bought in to the hype but i'm afraid that he will be another in the long line of "beasts" who get crushed when they step up the competition!

              What are you talking about?

In 2021 his fight with Billy Joe Saunders was the most-attended boxing event at an indoor venue in U.S. history. That was only 2 years ago.

              B1tch ass hater.

I might agree with Hearn here. If Berlanga moves forward and wins.

The set up will be the classic Puerto Rico vs Mexico fight. $$$$

                Even though he's American "Nuyorican"

the marketing team will know what to do.
Its not going to draw money because no one is going to buy overmatched Berlanga against undisputed champion Canelo.

You mean the fight with $20 tickets that only generated a 9 mil gate compared to Canelo vs ggg 2 that generated over a 23 mil gate? Crawford vs Spence had a 21 mil live gate. Tank vs Ryan had nearly a 23 mil live gate. And you’re out here calling a 9 mil live gate massive? You canelo fans are fkn ret@rds. Nobody considered canelo vs Saunders a massive fight. Moron.

His last fight with Charlo drew 800k PPV buys.

So the guy is setting all-time American indoor records in attendance AND had the second biggest PPV of 2023 behind only Ryan Garcia vs Tank. All within the past two years.

That’s pretty much as massive as it gets. Only a petty little hater like you would still find something negative to say about that.
