Something not likely to happen if he starts to slug it our in which he never does. But still he didn't seem too please when taking Hattons shots and Hatton isn't as dangerous as Mosley or others W.W.
The Hatton fight was just an overall weird type fight. Floyd was uncharacteristicaly nervous for the fight. He was off balance alot early and seemed very uncomfortable, almost like the stage was too big for him. He didnt seem that way against Oscar or JMM so I think it was just a freak thing. Hatton also fought like an idiot and smothered Floyd all fight. I called him an idiot because he was so close that he smothered his own punches. Even his own trainer and Manny Steward said it the whole fight. Thats why I think Floyd looked that way at times but I dont think he's all that afraid to get hit. Again though, he was a smaller guy at the time of the Hatton fight. I also think he looked fragile against Baldy but he's bigger and more comfortalbe at the weight now. He's still the smallest guy there but I think he can handle himself better now.

However, I have always said that I wouldnt be too excited about him going straight from a JMM fight to a big WW fight. I think that may be a shock to his system. Thats why I have always said that I could see him fighting someone like a Berto or Collazo in between then but you know that no one will understand that and they will call him a ***** for not fighting the top guys again

If the fear he doesn't have the power to hurt natural wws isn't the reason then why is he avoiding Shane and Cotto? It can't be because he's a coward can it?

What makes Floyd a "true WW"? The fact that 85% of his career fights took place at 140 and below?

That is not he style to go for the KO. He proved against Hatton that he can get the KO if it comes. But, he is not going to push it. And, there is nothing wrong with that. I do not care if he KO's artist or a defensive specialist. I would never bash him cuz he does not have KO power. Cuz he makes it up with speed, accuracy, intellegence, skills, reflexes, and defense. I just want to see Floyd test his skills against the best. And, that is one thing Floyd has not done in 6yrs.
The TS is saying that Floyd doesn't have power at 147 so it does matter in this thread. Anyway,

The pre-JLC Floyd and the post-JLC Floyd are 2 different animals, one had balls up to his neck and the other hides them in his cabinet. Pre-JLC Floyd was a beast with both the skills and the balls, after he just cared about how much money he was going to make without having to fight too much. Conclusion, pre-JLC, PBF would have always gone for the knockout. Post-JLC, PBF always goes for the boring, potshotting, most lucrative UD. Floyd has power but he just won't take the risk. Period.

The man hasn't carried his power which is why Mosley and Cotto both true ww would have massive advantages if Floyd backed up his mouth and fought either or both.

floyd doesnt need power to win, his defense
is just so great that he can win UD 12-0 everytime

i even give him a chance against the klitchko bros

My favourite fighter all time is Pernell Whitaker. Some of my current favs are pacquiao, mayweather, casamayor, malignaggi, guzman, salita, maravilla martinez, etc.

So, you can see that "power" doesn't necessarily impress me. I'm actually more impressed by a Chris Byrd than i am by a Chris Arreola.

Come on, bud. You know that ain't right. That's like saying Roy Jones wasn't a real super middle because 90% of his fights were at 160 or below. Not to mention, Floyd can't even make 145.
