It was Usyk who declined last December and went away in April. So either they really have a contract, which includes a date, or they are both fooling people.

Yup. Same reason they didn't fight in April or June. It's all theatrics until the Saudis say it's time. I'm assuming first quarter of 2024 that way they can end the year with the rematch. If it's competitive they'll be swimming in tens of millions.

So what is written in the contract? And did Fury read it?

My bet is that there is a time window for the fight with the Saudis having the choice. It's not a normal contract. I'm guessing 23rd December with a rematch in the Spring.
