Part of having skills is to sustain it for the whole fight. Plus he has shown that he can't adjust once his style is figured out in the ring.

If his skills are P4P Top 5, he wouldn't have losses to Canelo and Benavidez! Morrell Jr. vs. Caleb Plant! MAN UP!

It's not outta the question. Plant's boxing IQ and ring generalship are on par with some of the other names he dropped. It's some of his other attributes(gas tank, punching power, etc.) that are put in question.

Caleb gives me mixed feelings. I dislike him for shoveling dirt on Dirrell, but I love him for slapping Charlo across the jaw and turning him into a cub. Caleb is a modern day Tommy Loughran- a smooth boxing white boy. He can box, but he fades in this 12 round era while Loughran went 15 against a who's who of boxing even against Heavyweights, and he never faded. Caleb can give you about 8 hard rounds b4 he starts to break down. I notice he didn't mention Benavidez, so when he rates skill, he must not consider someone breaking his chalky ass down as a skill

Jesus Christ. Every cherry pick that Canelo beats thinks they're pound for pound. Plant is nothing but top 30 at best.

Caleb Plant should drop down to Middleweight become undisputed and make history. Too many hungry killers at SMW e.g. Morrell, Benavidez

He said his skills. P4P, not many fighters have the skills and ring ability that Plant possesses. Him as a fighter all-around, he hasn't shown or accomplished anything that ranks him as P4P. He is one of the best pure boxers in the sport tho. Maybe this clears my comment up.

One of Caleb's weaknesses is endurance/stamina. If he has to cut more 8lbs, he's more likely to fade when pressured, and even earlier than usual.

He is actually nowhere near the top 5, 10, 50, or 100 pound for pound best fighters in boxing, there are so many good fighters it's hard to say where he belongs.
Inaccuracies aside, BoxRec has him ranked #141. He should probably be higher than that.

Plant is good, but it's difficult to separate skill-set from physical attributes when discussing P4P. He didn't rank Inoue, maybe because he thinks Inoue's power is carrying him. However, Inoue is objectively a very capable boxer-puncher who's succeeded against various styles. His power can bail him out of bad situations, but he hasn't had to rely on that. Caleb is an out-boxer who clearly struggles with pressure. Even-though Canelo was operating at his 3rd weight class, his hybrid style (boxer-puncher who pressures) allowed him to eventually nullify Plant's skill-set and reach. Then, Plant eventually struggled against a true pressure fighter with slower feet in Benavidez. Plant may have skills, but he's lacking other traits. He hasn't shown that he can successfully move up a weight class, let alone dominate his 1st division. Plant is NOT P4P top 10 material.
