  • Comments Thread For: Usyk on Injuries Ahead of Fury Showdown: I Can't Say That Everything Is OK...[But] Everything's Under Control

Oleksandr Usyk admits that there has been some wear and tear on his body after his contest with Daniel Dubois in August. The unified WBO, WBA, IBO, IBF champion from Ukraine nevertheless is not too concerned about any niggling injuries as he prepares to take on Tyson Fury for the undisputed heavyweight championship in December or January in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Give this man a time, date and location 'So he can strategist his training camp'.

This is straight forward procedure, and a professional way of doing things 'Lennox Lewis did this with Mike Tyson, Evander Holyfield did this with Lennox Lewis, Floyd Mayweather Junior done this with all of his opponents'.

Uysk needs to know when this fight is to be exact. Not 6 weeks out from the fight, but at-least 3 months before the actual fight.

The fight has not been agreed, and there is no official date or location 'If there was, Usyk would off been in training camp right now'.

I believe this interview by Usyk, is evidence that no fight has really 100% been agreed 'Team Fury making that statement awhile back, was just a tactical move to hype Fury's latest exhibition fight'.

I have stated this before? Fury whenever he is dealing with his nearest competition 'Has always historically attempted to come at them with some sort of angle. Ether he will offer fights on short notice, fights that he has been training for full well knowing? When the actual fight is going to happen, but his opponents are oblivious to this information. Or Fury will in general just be unprofessional within negotiations, causing disruption or giving unprofessional ultimatums 'Wilder, Joshua, Usyk go and check back through Fury's career and observe how he behaved towards those fighters'.

That is how you know, who Fury believes to be his nearest competition 'He will convey this through is actions and behaviors. Fury is a big time performer, but in my opinion his actions and behaviors communicate a lot to anybody who really has any sort of awareness'.

Tyson Fury is for whatever reason, apprehensive of Usyk 'If he was not he would of fought him already. Fury could of already fought Usyk at a more optimal time for him, the actual timing for this fight is not the best for Fury'.

And that is one thing Team Fury, and Tyson Fury himself throughout his career has always got right 'Fury is great a reading a fight, and understanding his competitive landscape. He knows when to take fights, and when to tactical avoid fights 'In order to increase the likely-hood of him winning'.

It was David Price, who first stated this 'Because Tyson Fury tactically avoided him, once upon a time'.

I just think the timing of this fight, would of not been what Fury wanted entirely 'It will be difficult for Fury to use any of his former tactics during these fights negotiations such as offering fights at short notice, or disrupting the fight negotiations'.

The only thing Fury can really do is prolong the actual negotiations, which is already playing out? I don't even obsess over the business side of boxing, but I stated this was going to happen over 1 month ago.

This fight between Fury & Uysk has went from being agreed 'The fight is happening in December which resulted in all the hardcore Fury fans celebrating as if Fury had already won the fight, to then the fight is only happening in December subject to Fury's state of being after his exhibition. To just over this past week, I have seen certain journalist and other people within the boxing business stating that the fight could happen around February to March time'.

Note: The fight negotiations do look to be positive, but really? If there is no official date or location, using words such as agreed need to be managed more thoughtfully. The fight is not agreed 100%, and there is no official date or location 'Many big fights have been at this stage of proceedings before, and not actually happened' etc.

Fury fight won't happen. He will come up with some excuse. Or he will eat an uncastrated wild chicken and get performance enhanced food poisoning....

Whatever happens though his fans will still write pages on how he is the best fighter ever and then send him all of their money when he fights a YouTuber in his next fight

Harry Greb needed 12 hours to get in shape for a fight; these guys need 12 WEEKS. WTF is he doing over a 12 week period that he needs to work on that he hasn't worked on over the past 15 - 20 years? No wonder they get hurt in training.

Boxing usually allows the A sides to have control or more control over times and dates for events, when who and where, its also great to keep your opponent guessing and also at times allows the A side to cycle off peds at their leisure, perks of the job

wasnt there an article yesterday saying usyk did not want december and now this article says he wants december lol wtf

12-14 weeks is a long time for a camp it's why alot of guys ends up over training and getting hurt. 8 weeks is fine for a training camp if there already in pretty good shape

12 week used to be considered a standard camp. One week for each round.

Maybe this is why everyone ****ing gasses in six rounds?
