I understand the logic but can you tell me who Canelo has picked recently that has really had a truly significant win that separates them as a challenger for him? Especially in the weight class where Canelo is champ? It seems like the lesser threats don’t have to “earn” the shot while the real threats are asked to jump through hoops that others don’t have to.

This fighter is frustrating as hell, he doesn't fight often enough to stay relevant in this sport, but he's going to complain that no say's his name.
You turned pro four years ago, you only fight twice a year what? You have to fight 3 or 4 times a year when you're just starting out in this sport period!

Exactly! Complain less, and fight more often, it's as simple as that David!

That's a matter of fact!Maybe because you have 9 fights with no notable wins.
Almost any pro boxer who’s at least decent, starts their career tearing through journeymen and no hopers by TKO or at least very wide UD’s.
Morrell is doing absolutely nothing special at all. He needs to stay busy and stop pretending to be the best thing since sliced bread.

This is the conundrum that the boogeymen always find themselves in. It's very difficult to build your profile if the opponents you need....would rather pretend like you don't exist. For example, wasn't Benavidez saying Morrell's name once upon a time? Yet he decided to face Andrade instead. No rising star is going to CHOOSE to fight Morrell.Comment

He needs to go the GGG route: take small 6-figure purses and fight 3 times a year. He has to create demand by continuing to wreck whoever stands in front of him. Morrell would really benefit from being on free TV.

Exactly! What have you done for the boxing fans, your career, and the sport lately? Nothing you knocked out your last opponent in 1 round, and instead of having a quick return to the ring, you've disappeared for 6 months. Whoever is managing your career is doing a piss poor job at it, plain, and simple!

You're damn right about that, because we do want to see him more often in the ring, but he just hasn't done that for whatever the reason might be.

For over 50 years, there wasn't representation in the pro rankings by Cubans, Legra, Florentino, Rodriguez, Napoles and Ramos were the lucky ones that escape the island, what you saw in the 90's when some talent started to trickle down was burned out fighters like Casamayor, Hurtado, Garbey, Solis all of them with over 300 amateurs fights and a lot of wear and tear, then the 2000's arrived and you saw the same thing with Ugas, Rigondeaux and Lara. Move forward to now and the things has changed, you got Morell jr with at 25yo, Gomez, Perez, Brown, Adley, and a few others, the whole juvenile squad defected in Dubai all under 17 years old, you will be heard from them soon, and some of those fights you're mentioning were won by the Cubans but the power to be robbed them, at least twice with one guy (Lara) and one with Casamayor. By the way Napoles didn't go to Mexico to get better, don't change history, he went there because he got the asylum in Mexico, castro banned all professional sports in Cuba. STFU with the learning crap. And Morell jr a least has fought better competition in 9 fights than most of your idols. There's a reason they don't mention him, they not even count his fights, he is already knocking at the door, he is #1 contender for the WBA and interim belt holder. He ain't charlo nor andrade. This mfer morell has gotten very ****y for someone who hasn't accomplished **** yet.
Someone needs to tell This clown that Cubans never win the big fights in pro boxing then maybe he'll remain a bit more humble.
The last Cuban to get into the HOF had to move to Mexico to get better and that was some 50 yrs ago. Lol
So yea morell needs to shut the fuxk up he's starting to sound like a charlo
