It can't go on putting all that chunk of the budget on just 1 or 2 fighters.
    Agreed. Very well said man

Content that will still generate views 5, 10, 15 years down the road, or even longer in syndication. 99% of fights are viewed only once, and then forgotten forever.

I could see PBC doing a "ProBox" type thing and selling subs direct to consumer. It wouldnt generate enough money for their top 20 or 25 fighters, those fights could still be distributed on indy PPVs. But the app revenue might be able to keep the remaining 200 or so fighters in PBC stable busy until they work their way up to PPV level.......
I wonder what the main factor to destroying all them relationships was.

Because that is one long bad rap sheet there.

IMO is was too much poor quality content, combined with fighter inactivity. Their top guys were mostly fighting non-competitive in-house fights once or twice a year. VERY hard to build fan interest using that model. I mean, think about it for a minute. PBC started in what, 2015 I think? So in the past EIGHT YEARS, with a pretty much unlimited budget, how many memorable PBC fights can you name off the top of your head? 10? 12? Bottom line its not enough to offset the damage they did to the overall sport

Haymon also destroyed his relationship with HBO before pbc existed, you could call that prequel pbc starring andre Berto and his bums

PBC bought time on multiple networks to flood the market with their brand before signing a paid deal with a network. PBC didn't destroy their relationship with anyone. PBC just had the most successful string of events in the history of boxing.

Cable networks would rather invest on TV series now, similar to HBO's investment on Game Of Thrones.
They're easy to sell in the international market. Plus they employ hundreds of people from set designers,
make up artists, costume designers, tailors, props makers, actors, extras, visual effects artists, script writers,
directors, camera men, musicians for the soundtrack, you name it.
In boxing only few greedy fighters benefit with the guise of they're risking their lives doe. Kills me.
Hundreds of soldiers are sent to the war front without any chance of probably having their own homes...

They going to lose Crawford....with showtime departing boxing in Dec, PBC more than colluded with a Spence to rush a Dec rematch and force bad terms on the A side TC, and Spence knew of the play before fight 1...Spence and pbc knew they might be leaving Showtime and also they knew if someone new comes to the table its bigger bags next yr

TC can't let that slide being the A side, he was never they guy, and that won't change....if haymon was don king his ass wouldve been in the ring waving american flags hugging tc after he nearly killed that boy

yeah, it was SOOOOO successful that their network dumped boxing in its entirety.

Or it was so successful that offers were coming in that were too expensive for Showtime to match considering Showtime will be shutting down in a few years.
