well apparently ward was the best boxer on the planet even though his boxing skills were mediocre and all he did was wrestle and commit tons of fouls before, during, or after the wrestling.

        Exactly

These types of so called "boxers" are what hurt the sport.

Imagine the trainer in the gym " helluva way to hold" "beautiful holding work"

While that style may not be everyone's cup of tea, it's very effective.

It's pointless to argue this topic with agenda driven fanboys, so long as their fighter wins, that's all that matter to them, even if the sport suffers because of it.

But these are some of the examples of the boxing rules that are considered fouls:

            - Ducking too low and/or head goes below the opponent's waistline or belt line (made famous by Floyd Mayweather Jr.)

            - Wrestling, holding, throwing a punch while holding an opponent and throwing a punch while holding the ropes to trap an opponent to gain leverage.

So basically, no holding, it's a boxing match not a wrestling match. Get the referee on your side ($$$) and he'll turn a blind eye.

                Well said.

I literally seen an interview on YouTube from trainer who actually said " such fighter had a good holding game" and he was dead serious.

That's embarrassing af that's what this **** has come down to.

See this is exactly what I'm talking about, I just posted the boxing rules and gave you the plain ol' facts and some of you guys still get butt hurt.

Bruh, you want to see some real, insane slickness skills, watch Tommy Hearns vs Wilfred Benitez. Even though he lost, El Radar puts on a master class, defensive wizardry against one of the most lethal killers the sport had ever seen, with no dancing or holding, went toe-to-toe with the Hitman.

Nothing will change until we get a national boxing commission, or they start docking points for all the holding and other such fouls.
