Why is Fury vs. Ngannou not on Boxrec?

None of the undercard fights are on boxrec either.

Does this mean the entire card is unsactioned or exhibitions?

I just find it odd that the fight is in 2 weeks and there is nothing on boxrec.

This fight is too real for boxrec to handle.

They say it isn't and will be on their record. On top of that, BoxRec is becoming absurd these days.

It won’t affect their records, but I do agree boxrec has taken a hit the last few years

We will see soon, they say whatever about this fight that is Schrödinger-like one: it is boxing one, it is real, it has a rematch clause, and it isn't a title one, but it is not on their records.

It’s not sanctioned by any recognized sanctioned bodies WBC , WBA , IBO , IBF , WBO . It wouldn’t make boxrec .

Boxrec is always worried about being sued & other weird sh^t. They don't have all kinds of cards up. I use tapology more for upcoming fights than I ever have cuz Boxrec is less & less up to date.

The fight is a legit fight not an exhibition. It'll just be a non title 10rd fight, not for Fury's belt.

                    You nailed it!

If the WBC heavyweight champion of the world lost to a UFC fighter having his first ever boxing match, the sport of boxing would become a laughing stock in the eyes of the world. So the boxing authorities are hedging their bets. They have decided that, until the fight is over, it is neither a real fight nor an exhibition, but has the potential to be either, depending on how it goes.

If Fury wins, it will be revealed as a real, sanctioned fight and the result entered into the boxing records.

If Fury doesn't win, it will be revealed as an exhibition match with no winner, no loser and no official result.
