Two things.

#1, Haney should not drain himself and go back down to 135 ever again.

#2, if Haney did go back down to lightweight it should only be for a mega fight like Gervonta Davis. Not for someone like Zepeda.

Haney would be dumb to kill himself making 135 again for any fight. It's no longer his optimal weight. I don't think that the Haneys are dumb people at all. I'd love to see Haney vs Zepeda but it's too late , Haney is no longer a 135lb fighter. Oscar should try to get Zepeda a fight vs Shakur.

At 135 everyone has to go through Shakur. Oscar will throw him at the lion, he always does, sooner or later.
Look at Zurdo vs Bivol, Linares vs Loma. Zepeda doesnt have to may options at GB, so time to look at other options.
