Comments Thread For: Devin Haney Isn't Ruling Out a Return To Lightweight: "There's A lot of Big Fights At 135"

I'm not arguing against you that Haney is trying to avoid mandatories with high risk, but seeing who's currently listed as the top three on each rankings as of right now I'm not sure going back down to 135 (whether he's able to or not aside) is that great of an idea for him...
For reference:
WBA - Tank Davis (regular champion), Isaac Cruz, William Zepeda
WBC - Shakur, Frank Martin, Loma
WBO - Shakur, Loma, Denys Berinchyk
IBF - Kambosos, Loma, Isaac CruzComment

Going, or trying to go, back to 135 would be a mistake by Haney; he's been fully unified champ there and has now outgrown the division. If he can beat Prograis, a fight with Lopez is as big as anything back down at 135.Comment

If we are being honest Haney lost to Loma.
Because Teo already ducked him twice, despite shaking hands with Haney and telling him he'd fight him after the Loma fight. He then proceeded to get his ass whooped by Kambosos.
Decent win over Taylor, but Taylor was past his best - if we're being honest he clearly lost to Jack Catterall the fight before + got dropped, in a one sided fight. After that he was out the ring for 17 months until he fought Teo.
"when Teo was the champ at 135"
*Correction* Haney was also a champ at 135, but Teo ducked undisputed to fight a vastly unknown George Kambosos instead of make history, crazy. Same thing will happen at 140 - Hitchins, Haney, Gary Russell or Matias are highly likely to give him a L if he doesn't duck. He had a lot of problems with Sandor Martin and got dropped twice.
There's rumours of Tank - Teo early next year, so I guess someone else might take his scalp.lol.
If we are being honest those fighter haven't fought anyone.
Teo already beat the best at 135 and 140. He has more belts and accoplished more than all of them and that's a fact. Not predictions like your statements.Last edited by boxingitis; 10-09-2023, 08:45 PM.Comment

If we’re being honest Loma lost to Jamaine Ortiz & Teo DEFINITELY lost to Sandor Martin, two solid B minus level fighters nevertheless. I had Haney - Loma a draw.
Accomplishments? Yeah, undisputed pretty much trumps any accomplishment Teo has or will EVER have lol. Earlier you asked who wants to see ‘boring’ Haney fight
well here’s a little fact for you.
Haney put’s up better numbers than Teo, & sells more tickets. I think that’s the end of conversation!Last edited by messi807; 10-10-2023, 09:54 AM.Comment

Nothing you said changes the fact that Teo chose a kambosos mandatory over undisputed against Devin. And kambosos made him pay for it. Devin beat kambosos twice. With no problem. That's a fact. Not an opinion
so in your opinion Devin loss to Loma and Teo beat Loma. but its a fact that teo loss to kambosos and Devin beat kambosos twice.
See how useless triangle theories are in boxing.
