  • Comments Thread For: Devin Haney Isn't Ruling Out a Return To Lightweight: "There's A lot of Big Fights At 135"

Devin Haney simply didn't look healthy anymore. During fight week, his condition got considerably worse as the days went by. On Wednesday, he appeared thin, on Thursday he was frail. By the time weigh-ins arrived, Haney looked like he hadn't eaten in days. It never quite mattered, however. He always jumped onto the scales weighing 135 pounds or less, no matter how much it took out of him.

No way would Haney be able to make 135 after going to 140

It would be dumb to try to make 135 again. I don’t think he can do it and still be at 100%.

Why not? Nobodies gonna pay for a Debbie Haney fight until he fights Tank so we can watch him get knocked the f×ck out

Why didn't he try to do the Teo fight? He was calling him out when Teo was the champ at 135. Was it because Teo looked impressive vs Taylor, and Regis looked like **** his last fight.

What a joke. They are looking at who the mandatories will be after the Prograis fight, and getting ready to run back down a division accordingly.

Because Teo already ducked him twice, despite shaking hands with Haney and telling him he'd fight him after the Loma fight. He then proceeded to get his ass whooped by Kambosos.

Decent win over Taylor, but Taylor was past his best - if we're being honest he clearly lost to Jack Catterall the fight before + got dropped, in a one sided fight. After that he was out the ring for 17 months until he fought Teo.

"when Teo was the champ at 135"

*Correction* Haney was also a champ at 135, but Teo ducked undisputed to fight a vastly unknown George Kambosos instead of make history, crazy. Same thing will happen at 140 - Hitchins, Haney, Gary Russell or Matias are highly likely to give him a L if he doesn't duck. He had a lot of problems with Sandor Martin and got dropped twice.

There's rumours of Tank - Teo early next year, so I guess someone else might take his scalp.lol.

Bob Arum said the plan is Teo vs Ryan next. Not Tank
