So Srl, actually had Mike McCallum at the negotiating table, then backed out because some ridculous a side demand wasn't met

Floyd actually had Margarito, Winky Wright, and Pacquaio at the negotiating table, and backed out for that same reason

It hasn’t but they have to blame someone rather than hold the boxers they like accountable for their actions.

Men and their teams make decisions on their own, not because a boxer from another era ran their career a specific way.

I’m a huge Ray Leonard fan, SRL-Hearns 1 is my favourite fight of all time.

However, Ray was the cash cow and he knew it. He knew how to play the game. One of the few fighters from that era to essentially outsmart the promoters.

In the process, he fought and beat all time greats in their prime, so that was actually great for boxing.

Unlike your closet crush Floyd who waited until fighters had to be wheelchaired in the ring

I hate Ray. Always thought he was a phony. ATG, possibly top 5.

He used his status to delay the Hagler fight, delayed the Hearns rematch, and made sure the Duran rematch got made extremely soon.

Lets not forget how he brilliantly set up that Lalonde fight for multiple belts.

He was way ahead of the promoters for sure.

It’s hilarious you think I’m a Floyd fan. No surprise to see you in a Floyd thread though, get a life you sad c***.

Love him as a fighter but as a human being, not the nice guy many perceive him as, especially whilst he was fighting.

He’s mellowed a lot now but he still has that nasty streak in him I think, there was a pod a couple of years ago with Tyson, Hearns and Leonard and Ray was mocking Tommy over his speech, you could see the old Ray coming out in him.

He’s top 5 IMO. I think I have him 5th on my list.

One of the biggest losers on the site. Don’t even give him the time of day.

Yes he did, but he fought every name available. The Pryor rumors are BS, I don't know about Mcallum though, and that era I followed to the fullest and I never heard anything about Ray vs Mike.
