Really bad refereeing. Point off was beyond ridiculous. Punch didnt land, was thrown from outside and leigh wood turned his head. That ref shouldnt ref again. That was that bad of a call

stoppage was bad. He had turned his head at 8 and had 1 min to recover. If he's unsteady after 1 min then stop it.

You have to show the ref that you are ready to continue, look him in the eyes and present your gloves for for inspection after a standing 8. Every fighter knows this. He was done after three clean hooks, 2 on the button and one on the dome. Good stoppage.
He walked back to his corner because the bell had rang to end that round, if your argument holds water why did the ref continue to count when he was walking back to his corner? It was a biased and very unfair decision particularly if you consider that Leigh was behind and was bashed throughout the fight and only for one moment of wonder, the ref favors him

Well done by Wood but ****, really ? Man was up at 8 looking at the ref, end of the round, surely you gotta give him the benefit of the doubt and let him have his break and see where his senses are. ****ing boxing sometimes is madness. On the take possibly ?

Doubt he was on the take, because it didn't matter who won.

BUT it was the end of the round too, should've let it go on imo

You need to put aside your emotions and study the rules. The ref did his job. You can’t turn your back and walk away from a standing 8. A fighter can never be saved by the bell. He was out on his feet. Chinned twice in a three punch combo. It happens in boxing all the time. He won early rounds and still got KTFO.

How was he out on his feet if he was on his feet before the count ? Ref panicked

Leigh Wood must have some Arturo Gatti in him. What a comeback, again.

The stoppage was good. Warrington couldn't just get up and stroll to the corner, he was still being seen to by the ref, besides, he was in bad shape. Either way , it's a wrap.

It's not about emotions or whatsoever, BS must be called in, a competitive fight and championship do not need this utter rubbish of officiating. This destroys many athletes. If you knew how much athletes sacrifices to compete, you were not going to utter your biased views

He looked drained , Josh was much faster and scoring at will . He made a mistake and Leigh put them together very well. Although he would get iced by Cordina .

If you turn your back to the ref, it is usually an automatic stoppage. The ref actually gave him more of a chance than he deserved. You have to face the ref to show you are all right. If not, you are either quitting, or not well enough to continue. From what I saw, Warrington was out of it, and did not know where he was. Therefore facing the corner, and not the ref. Easy stoppage.
