Wood had an excellent win... but really... he needs to work on his defense.
Up until the stoppage, Warrington was definitely out-working him.
Wood needs a solid jab on the outside... otherwise his career will soon be toast.

What a fight. I went into wanting Wood to win, but Warrington's agression started to win me over. But then bam. He was all over the place and I don't think anyone sensible should be questioning that the fight was over at that point.

Prematurely stoppage by the ref considering that Josh was ahead and bell has rang so a cool-off in-between rounds would have done justice and perhaps something the ref should have taken into consideration and give Josh a benefit of doubt

You have to show the ref that you are ready to continue, look him in the eyes and present your gloves for for inspection after a standing 8. Every fighter knows this. The bell had gone and his team were already up on ring to get in at the end of the round, he was actually talking to them annoyed that be got dropped as he was walking back to the corner. I think he was too focused on them because the bell had gone and they were getting in the ring rather than turning around to the ref which he should have.

He was definitely hurt but if the bell has gone, I think a fighter should be given that minute to recover. If they come out still unsteady, then make the call.

It's Warrington's fault for paying more attention to his team stood on the ring at the end of the round after the bell instead of what the ref is doing, so I understand the ref. But I also understand Warrington not feeling he was given chance when the bell had gone anyway.
