Moving up 14 lbs to fight Canelo was too much. Most fighters build up to a higher weight with a couple fights before they fight the top guy. So Charlo did fine. He couldn't stop Canelo even with a perfect shot on the chin, and he can't box like Pernell.

I thought Jermell did very well. He did what he could, in a match Canelo never should have agreed to fight. It was 100% a mismatch. Charlo did way better than Mikey Garcia did against Spence.

Charlo could hold his head high. He tried. When I think of disgraceful performances, I think of Broner VS Pacquiao, and Camacho VS Chavez (and Trinidad).

When you chocked and you feel so bad about it you have to spent hours trying to justify it... Take your money and shut up at least.

At no point in those 12 rounds did it appear that you took a chance

It didn’t look like charlo didn’t try, it looked like canelo made him fight how he fought. I said it once and imma say it again, don’t get that sh.it twisted. Ring generalship at its finest

He should be proud of himself. When you're use to knocking out guys at 154 and then you go up to 168 and throw the same exact punch and your opponent eats it. Mentally that has to do something to you. Charlo is not a great boxer, so he wasn't able to outbox Cabelo either. So if you are a naturally smaller fighter, coming off a 17 month layoff, you can't hurt your opponent nor can you outbox them, then yeah he should be proud that he was able to finish the fight and not end up like Amir Khan.
