What a legend the Gypsy King is!

    - went to Germany and dethroned a mythical fighter in his own backyard
    - went to America and restored British honour while AJ/Hearns were in hiding

If he reclaims his belts from Usyk that were kidnapped by Charles Martin and Joseph Parker etc., then he has to be Top 5 ATG.

    - Muhammad Ali
    - Lennox Lewis
    - Larry Holmes
    - Tyson Fury
    - ???

    * midgets like Joe Louis don't count as Heavyweights
** Rocky Marciano doesn't count due to clear match-fixing

Don't forget Wilder never seriously pursued an undisputed clash with Klitschko either.

Really glad this fight is happening. Everyone will have their own opinion on where it places Fury in ATG standing, including the (slightly immature) OP.

Like many Fury enthusiasts, you seem to have that unfortunate habit of adopting some of his mannerisms ("midget").

That aside, I don't think someone who got chinned by Ross Puritty, Corrie Sanders and Lamon Brewster can be described as "mythical". Unless you were implying he didn't actually exist.

Rocky Marciano would spank Fury in 15.

Doubt it, he's been 6 feet under for 50+ years

Fury lacks the resume to go ahead of those names, but h2h he's one of the best, and will cement it when he leaves Usyk in a heap on the floor

You started watching Boxing in 2001 lad, what do you know? Sweet F all innit?

Like many AJ enthusiasts, you seem to have that unfortunate habit of hiding your allegiance in the Post-Exposure chapter of Oluwafemi's career.

Wladimir is one of the most decorated Heavyweights in history, dripping gold from Amateur to Pro. Longest-reigning, broke countless records in the sport, first-ballot HOFer. And Tyson went to Germany and ended the story. Big up the Gypsy King!

I don't identify with Femi or Luke on a personal level. Femi's a hasbeen, Luke - Usyk is the only heavyweight fight that matters. I just won't be claiming some reflected glory regardless of who wins
