More meaningful and well timed attacks for starters.
That was not Nelo at his best (IMHO, he's not at his best at that weight)
I'm pretty sure that was Biv best outing vs this level opponent.

    We shall see.

Who exactly is the elite fighter around 168 you want him to fight? Because this sort of argument always turns to "he needs to fight x guy", and then when he beats that guy, you pretend that guy wasn't elite and move the goalposts.

Who is the elite fighter he's supposed to beat? Commit now to naming the one he's supposed to fight that you'd give him credit for beating.

Beterbiev gets talked about a lot but he's nearly 40. If Canelo were to fight him and win, he'd just be another guy who's past his prime to you. Does Bivol count as elite? I think he is, and that he's got Canelo's number, but if Canelo proved me wrong, I'm quite sure people will say "who has he fought; it was just a fluke the first time; he's trash." Benavidez? "He fights like a caveman with no defense, can't fight going backwards, his best wins were Canelo leftovers, blah blah." Andrade? That guy hasn't so much as FOUGHT a real champion ever, and ducked his biggest fights on more than one occasion. Canelo isn't getting credit for fighting him. Morrell? "He's only got a few fights; he wasn't ready." I hate to dignify the Crawford ******ity, but Canelo would get zero credit for winning a fight with a guy 3 divisions down.

Nobody is ever going to fit the bill. He already beat the 3 undefeated 168 lb champions who were professional enough to keep their belts, and got no credit for it. "168 is a trash division."

              Beterbiev
              Andrade
              Benavidez

              All have a good chance.

Based upon proven then eye test proven Bivol will smoke Canelo without catchweight clauses ect 9/10x. Now let's move to the eye test in order Morell jr would change the guard in Canelo (as long as he can take a punch) too fn athletic, carries power, n length with a high amateur pedigree he Hasn't used that Cuban bike yet n well if needed we saw Lara vs Nelo. Followed by Benavidez n Beterbiev they'll more than likely beat Canelo. Does any 160er beat Nelo no though the winner of Adames vs Charlo facing Canelo would be watchable. Does anyone @154 beat Canelo f... no.
