WBC is trying to freeze him out of a unification "because he's Russian". Even though he was born in Kyrgyzstan and lives in California. He wanted the rematch with Canelo @ 168 for Canelo's belts and Canelo balked.

Looks like everyone is scared of him. Literally NOBODY calling his name. He scared the crap out of the boxing world in his last two clinics.

And count in that some of his opponents at SMW were some blown up middles.

          Hahaha...yes Gilberto.
Because Cruiserweight was supposed to be your weight division.
But your 40+ fight record would look much more different if you fought in your own weight category.

3200 seat venue... so there should be some good energy from the crowd.
Hoping Joe can smash this clown... 'the fighter without a weight class home'.

While not as negative as everyone else on this thread, I do not buy this as "his perfect division". He actually reminds me of someone who just does not have a perfect division- a little slow and unable to move well at LHW, and I am willing to bet a little under powered at CW.

I will spot him this: This is not a bad time to slid into the CW division. It is not exactly overflowing with talent. Even if he is just good, he may be able to be relevant for the last few years of his career and be in some significant fights. BUT first he has to prove he is good.
