While I agree that Charlo could have and should have put forth more effort, charging in against a counter-puncher like Canelo is just dumb.

What Charlo did was worse than dumb. How much more respect would he have gained by being KO in the 1st round because he was trying? Much more than not trying for 12 rounds.. for sure..

I sincerely doubt that. A smart fighter doesn't just charge in and get KTFO. If Charlo had done that, the ridicule would be just as bad if not worse than it is now.

Who's to say he'd been KO'd? He may have caught Canelo by surprise and caused a flash knockdown. Because of his lack of any effort, we'll never know..

He wasn’t as fast and explosive. He’s just not a super middleweight. He took shots from Canelo that stop guys like Plant that are true super middleweights. Charlo is tough.
