Use his superior boxing IQ and let Benny ''force'' the action.
    Catch him being reckless.
Best place is when Nelo is on the ropes.
Mugs tend to think they have the upper hand with him there.

Training in high altitude like he did in Jermell, solid body punching, jab and solid head movement.

Benavidez ain't complex to solve. Pretty much one dimensional potato sack with size and cardio. It will be ***in easy work for Canelo. Canelo is aware of PPV amount of that fight and will fight him.

You guys just saw canelo against a guy out of his depth, 17 months layoff and 14lbs north of his fighting weight, benavidez vs ginger wouldn't resemble that fight. There's a reason why ginger doesn't want to fight "mexicans", which benavidez is not, and he only went after all the belts when benavidez lost his wbc. So don't speak for the ginger, action speak louder than words.
Action speak louder than words ?

So Canelo signed a 3 fight deal to avoid fighting Benavidez who is with PBC ???

Skill for skill Alvarez is a better fighter, maybe 1-2 levels above Benevidez.

If Benevidez was a super elite fighter skill for skill, he would be able to move up to 175 maybe even Cruiser-weight 'And fight closer to his natural weight'.

So far in his career? It does not really look like Benevidez has shown that type of ability 'He looks to be another fighter who weight drains himself to the extreme, to be the big man at 168 pounds'.

Benevidez does have solid power, and he is aggressive 'But I don't think Alvarez will have a big issue hitting him'.

Benevidez's best chance to win, would be to set a extremely intense pace 'Fight as if the 1st round is the last round, the 2nd round is the last round and so on, until there is no more'.

              That would be awesome.

Note: Alvarez game plan would be the same as always, out box Benevidez, but apply systematic pressure at a pace he can manage 'If Alvarez can establish those tactics, he will win the fight' etc.

Head movement and hard counters to the body, for starters.

I didn't see canelo fighting benavidez, he's been his mandatory an the regular wbc belt holder, canelo hasn't look his way not even once. So yes, actions speak louder than words, he fought ryder instead of benavidez, he fought charlo instead of benavidez. We don't know who is in the menu next, probably the other charlo the one from the mw division. In the meantime he has three contenders in his own division, one he never fought because he say he is boring, the other because he is Mexican, we all know he was born in Phoenix, his mom is Ecuadorian&Dominican and his father Mexican, so he is disregarding the other half of his heritage, the other fighter, and to me the most dangerous is Morrell Jr, he has only 9 fights but he is the #1 and regular WBA holder, we can argue that he doesn't deserve this or that but the fact of the matter is that he is officially in that position, either you fight him or drop the belt, you know he has done that before, the time when ggg was younger, he dropped the belt and moved on, he could do that because he was younger, now is the opposite. So tell me what action he has taken to steer his ship on a collision course with benavidez? Signing a contract for three fights? Okay charlo dragged two divisions up, the second fight the mentally ill charlo and one division down, and Crawford three divisions down. The canelo fans most be so proud.

He can't fight at range and try counter against the 6'2 benevidez. Benevidez has one of the best jabs in the game and is a great fighter at range.

His best shot is coming foward, but he would be walking into a barrage of bunches from the longer, stroner, Benevidez. Benevide throws in bunches and is a great body puncher.

This is a huge mismatch IMO. Benevidez smokes Canelo.

What quality fighter has Direll ever beaten? Look at his resume. He’s lost to every quality fighter he’s ever faced.
