He was beaten before he even got in the ring, he didn't think he could win and was there to bag a payday

When a guy jumps 14lbs/two divisions in boxing hes entering a world he ain't been in yet at this level so a no show on fight night always feels in play to me.

Dude ain't been hit by a guy going 100% at them whos high level. Dude ain't had to try to hit a high level guy like this on a real stage. So nah I'm not surprised. Obviously I was rooting & hoping it'd be a more interesting fight than it was.

I was surprised at how uneventful Erickson vs Jesus was. I was most looking forward to that fight & it was the worst fight of the PPV.

I didn't expect him too win but I thought he'd at least try you know? Go out on his shield. I'm not giving him a pass cause he moved up and it may sound harsh but that was ****ing pathetic. Abysmal, shameful performance all things considered.

This guy has a constant terrible, stinking attitude and acts angry as hell and about that life 24/7 - Where was that last night? Straight up left his boll0cks in the dressing room.
He never even tried too win, took no risks. Just turned up for a paycheque and merely came too survive.

Didn't even attempt to go out on his shield after spending years running his big mouth.

If quitters get **** on so much I think it’s only fair fighters like this get the similar treatment. In fact it’s ant often worse tbh at least a quitter will usually give it their all or a good go before they say enough is enough and give you some sort of entertainment for your money. This bozo didn't even do that.
I can’t believe anyone can be disappointed in him. It was a ridiculous fight. Only the boxing casuals were surprised.

it was just a payday did you think it was a real fight? if so the marketing propaganda blitz got you. moving up 2 divisions when if they were the same size canelo would be a good sized favorite is a recipe for disaster

I rewatched the fight this morning and it left me feeling a lot more charitable. I saw that Charlo landed some pretty hellacious shots, there just wasn't enough of an effect to allow him to try and follow up. Also, he walked through some big shots himself, the one shot he didn't walk through he wisely took a knee to pull himself together, which he did very effectively. Some of his best offense came right after the knockdown.

I really don't know how much more he could have done against a great counterpuncher who he was never able to hurt.
