Boxers mindset is not the same as regular men. They are brought up in boxing since they were 5 years old.
They are taught to not eat too much cause they want to keep as light as possible.
Im 5’9. I always INTENTIONALLY stayed as light as possible. My boxing weight was 126. I walked around at 135. I would hit a man at that weight and thrown him around like a toy.
Why? Cause I was so big compared to the average 126 pounders. They were small. When I got older and weighed 150. I had no such advantage. I wasn’t fat looking, still had a 6 pack, but I was fat by BOXING STANDARDS. Non boxers will never understand what I’m saying.
I walk around now at 166. I CONSIDER myself a FAT SLOB.

Floyd Mayweather for example, he's 5'10" and probably weighing 170 at the moment but give him 8 weeks to make 147 and it would be done with little effort.
Your right, regular guys on here have no discipline and never trained at the level of top boxers. I’m 5’9 I met Pacquiao in person before he was real famous . I was shocked how short and petite he was.
He looked 5’4. Floyd looked 2 inches taller than him in the ring. Floyd is no 5’10

What kind of ****** question is this? People have different frames. I’m 5’9, 47 years old and still walk around at 154. With a weight cut I could make 140.

My most aggressive "healthy" cut puts me somewhere in the 175 range. Which means I could probably hit 168 if I really drained myself, MAYBE 160. And I'm taller than most fighters. But I walk around at about 185-ish and have a fairly controlled diet to begin with.

IF you're walking around at 180 and don't think you can make 170, there's something wrong.

Bone density, muscle mass and diet. If you're a shorter guy, it's quite normal to be in the 150-lb range if you take of yourself.

Now I am over 40, I am not fat and I am around 180. I would have to cut both legs of to make 154.

I don`t understand how grown men, bigger than me, "make" weight around 147 -160.

The smallest weight limit I could "make" would be a light heavy limit around 175.

Because you are a most likely the typical sloppy 180lbs... try training like a fighter and you will be 146lbs by December 4th. All that macho water you carry is useless once you start to train like a boxer. Facts..

That's why weight stipulations should be considered crimes in this sport and should be condemned.

Because if you are approximately 5' 8" (around Canelo) = 170 cm and weight 180 lbs, you are indeed fat?

For example, Body Mass Index (BMI) calls for ideal weight to be between BMI 20~25, with anything over 25 as overweight and over 30 as obese. For 170 cm person, 20 BMI is 57.8 kg = 127.4 lbs. 25 BMI is 72.3 kg = 159.4 lbs. 30 BMI is 86.7 kg = 191.4 lbs. 170 cm and 180 lbs is fat. In fact you have been fat since the age of 17.

Of course BMI is not the be all end all of weight, and muscle mass/body build will effect that a bit for sure. But thinking that being a non-athlete weighing 180 lbs at your height and not fat is a delusion...or you are American. Keep in mind that the majority of those you see in America are considered either fat, fatter, or fattest in the world. According to Mr. Googles 39.6 percent of U.S. adults are obese, another 31.6 percent are overweight and 7.7 percent are severely obese. You are solidly in the 31.6 percent of overweight.
