Comments Thread For: Canelo Alvarez-Jermell Charlo: Stats and Stakes

By Cliff Rold - It's champion versus champion as junior middleweight king Jermell Charlo rises two weight classes to challenge Saul Alvarez for the super middleweight crown on Saturday night (Showtime PPV, 8 PM EST). Any time the two absolute best in the world from two different weight classes square off, it's an event. In this case, it's

Cliff Rold seems to be very aware of the woke times were in. I've said it since day one these woke judges are not going against the African American fighter right now. They've been getting gift after gift since **** got political. Canelo needs a stoppage to win otherwise pbc is doing him in.

Put the meth down, son! (Or is it fentanyl?)

Canelo is not losing a decision in Vegas unless the other fighter wins ten rounds like Bivol did. Jermell will win his share of rounds, but he's not winning ten. Canelo by disputed MD.

Wanna sig bet that if it goes 12 Charlo
wins a decision? Yes I'm that sure the judges have been influenced.

Long lay off plus 18 pounds. Charlo is going to sting like a bed bug and float like a rock.

Bold pick, considering Alvarez' "luck with the judges is hard to ignore" -- diplomatically stated!

At the last minute, I'm wasting a tenner on a draw. Let's see what happens.

I'm gonna have to put a bet on Charlo stopping canelo by TKO, odds are good.

Canelo versus Jermello. Or is it Jello-Mello? After a long layoff, added pounds and ducking Tsyzu, finally the night of reckoning is here. What Charlo will we see? Any ring rust? Will he move like he did in the past with the extra weight? Stay tuned. Personally, I’m interested in seeing if the human piņata (Ugas) gets beat decisively and fades away into oblivion. Calling him a champ never sounded right after winning against old man Manny.

I just watched the highlights of the castona fight and this writer must have the same vision of modern day commentary and not know much , Charlo was not slipping well at all he was getting clipped with that left hook clean consistently, he looks to be a guy who can't defend a left hook and Canelo has one alot better then castona, i would not be surprised by a early kon, but can't see Charlo going 12 , he is a huge step out of his element Charlo is , I have a feeling it will show tonight that he was just another boxing scene hypejob, I know he has been highly regarded on this site for years but looking at his clips imo he don't look the part
